UC Berkeley Installer for Linux and Solaris

NOTE: The UC Berkeley Installer for Solaris and Linux does NOT update itself. Please check this website for newer versions.    This script has not been testing on all system variations or configurations which mean it may run into issues. You may choose to customize this script for your environment but we will NOT support the customize version of the script.

This script will attempt to do one of the following operations.
   install : Installs and basic configuration.
      install_dr : Installs and DR configures (no scheduler/acceptor).
uninstall : Uninstalls the client (does not remove logs or configuretion files).
   download : Only downloads the client for manual configuration and install.

Requirements/Limitation for using this script :
   - Script will only work on Solaris or Linux.
   - Script needs bash shell version 3 or higher.
   - Script needs to be run as root or sudo.
   - UCBackup Registration Information (need if you are doing basic config).
   - Ftp client access to download the install packages.
   - Open Firewall for access to ftp.software.ibm.com.
   - Users must verify system requirements before downloading the install package.
      This script will NOT verify and may NOT be able to verify all requirements.
   - At least 500MB of free space on /tmp.
   - Linux systems REQUIRE rpm for installation and will only work on x86 architecture.
   - This script does NOT do all customization/configuration. It does a simple
      configuration to get UCBackup up an running. Please see the manual for
      other options and settings:

If you do not meet these requirements then you must do a manual install and configuration.

*EOL is an End Of Life Product where both the OS and the Client is no longer support by the vendor. Use at your own risk.

* Linux - Please note that not all Linux Platforms are supported/tested. In most cases the TSM client will run on untested Linux Platform, but it is recommended that you test before putting the client into production.
